Pitiful Pile of Pork Passes into Posterity

Now they’ve gone and done it. It was over 1,000 pages, filled with hand-written notes for various political favors and pork-filled projects, and not one single Congressional representative read the whole thing. Then they passed the "Stimulus" bill in the dark of night and added almost one trillion dollars of additional debt to the legacy we will leave our children and grandchildren.

As the specifics of this giant pile of pig entrails are publicized by opponents, some Americans might say that a socialist revolution is slithering through America like a red serpent with a hammer and sickle emblazoned upon its forehead. Do not wonder, my fellow citizens, “change” is upon us.

There are those who want to turn America into one-party rule where Democrats make all the decisions regardless of what the “minority” parties think. These “insurgents” know that they could never accomplish this through any type of violent Bolshevik-style revolution because we still have a well-armed citizenry. The real takeover of our way of life will be slow and evolutionary. This movement began with the election of Barack Obama and the Democrat’s new iron-fisted rule of Congress.

Step One

The first step has already been accomplished with the Democratic assumption of power in Washington, D.C. and the successful manipulation of the mainstream media. As people like Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi have pointed out, they won the election, so they will do it their way whether the Republicans like it or not.

Step Two

The takeover of the census oversight by the White House signals a new era in community activism. The local "organizing" for which Obama is so famous will now move into the national scene. The census will be manipulated for political reasons and new “specially-populated” districts will be formed that will result in even more Democrats being elected over their Republican rivals. Before long, the slim Democratic majority in Congress will become overwhelming and Republicans will be the poor stepchildren of their Democratic counterparts.

Step Three

When the national scene is politically secure, the “community organizing” will move into the states. Democrats will seek to control their respective state houses in the same way their national mentors took over Washington. Once this is done, watch out. The next step is the most frightening one.

Step Four

Once the Democratic Party has control of the legislatures of both the states and the national government, then they can do what they really want to do – amend the United States Constitution in the socialist mold.

One of their first actions might very well be the repeal of such amendments as the right to bear arms. In another change that would make Hugo Chavez proud, Democrats might try to make it possible for Obama to serve as many terms as his followers deem necessary.

I will leave the speculation of other possible changes to the rest of you.

By the way, Obama's lack of leadership in structuring a non-partisan bill means his grade has dropped to an F+. (The "+" is only an acknowledgement of his skill as a silver-tongued politician.)

Happy Valentine’s Day. It would appear the American people might be the victims of another “Valentine’s Day Massacre”….
