Saving The Soul Of America

I must admit that my own frustration in America's current decline almost caused me to wash my hands of the whole thing. After all, I'm almost sixty-four years old, I've finished my careers in the Army and the police department, and I'm enjoying my retirement with Debbie, my wife of thirty-nine years.

Becoming sick of the liberal/Progressive/socialist agenda that is tearing at the foundations of America, I deactivated my Facebook account after one of my conservative postings was yanked. I refused to support the Facebook/Progressive partnership any longer. Then it became common knowledge that Facebook was selectively deleting conservative posts and even some accounts.

Partially out of such annoyances, I added what I thought would be my last post to  "American Ranger". 

But as I sat here watching the assault on our Constitution from the current administration, I realized that I cannot just sit by and watch all this happen. I swore an oath as a soldier and a police officer to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution. That obligation did not end with my retirement.

I cannot be a summer soldier or a sunshine patriot as Thomas Paine says. After all, my ancestors fought in the American Revolution. Their blood flows through my veins. Doing nothing is not an option.

So I hope you will join me as we continue a difficult journey in our quest to save our country from the plague of liberalism. I also invite you to submit guest posts that are relevant to this effort. You may send those to me at TheRangerCop@gmail.com.

We must not fail. The original patriots and the generations that followed them were willing to sacrifice their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor. Can we do less?

I urge you to remember that this struggle must be a peaceful one. The Constitution remains the rock-solid foundation of liberty for the United States of America, and it gives us the road map to victory. 

If possible, the misguided souls who voted for Barack Obama in 2012 must be led into the light of our Republic. We shall do all we can in this regard, but do not fear. The Progressives/socialists who are now in charge of our country will continue to fail badly. There will come a day of reckoning when even their supporters will turn against them as they, too, begin to suffer.

We must now work harder than ever to save the soul of our beloved America. There should be no alternative for any of us, but there is certainly no other option for me.

After all, as a descendant of the original patriots, I am a Son of the Sons of Liberty....
