| Phoenix, Arizona pro-gun demonstration |
"The beauty of the Second Amendment is that it will not be needed until they try to take it." Thomas Jefferson
Citizens have become weary of the government’s attempt to
disarm them. What part of “shall not be infringed” do Obama and his anti-gun
supporters not understand?
When you consider that there are some 100 million gun owners
who possess some 300 million firearms, if only 10% of them resisted a law that
attempted to confiscate their weapons, then 10,000,000 Americans would become
criminals. There aren’t enough cops and soldiers in the entire country to deal
with that.
It has already been pointed out that a large NATO force in
Afghanistan has been unable to defeat a Taliban/Al Qaeda insurgent army estimated
at 25,000. Should there ever be an armed resistance in this country, Obama
would find that he has over-reached just a bit.
I should note that I am opposed to any violent resistance.
As long as we have the ballot box, then that is the war we should be fighting.
Sadly, many Americans are too lazy to vote. As a result, we have an imperial
president in the White House who believes he knows what is best for all of us
peasants.
Here are a series of interesting news stories from The Blaze and Fox News on how Americans are
defending themselves as well as fighting back against the government’s war on
the Second Amendment. I would have shared similar stories from Obama's mainstream media, but they don't report these:

COLORADO COMPANY THREATENS TO LEAVE STATE IF GUN BILL PASSES
From Fox News
February 16, 2013
A package of gun control measures that won initial approval
in Colorado's Democratic-controlled House Friday night could result in several
hundred jobs lost at the state's largest manufacturer of high-capacity
ammunition magazines.
Erie-based Magpul Industries has threatened to leave the
state if lawmakers are successful in passing the sweeping gun-control package,
which limits the number of rounds a magazine can hold, according to The Denver
Post.

GROUP OF SECOND AMENDMENT-SUPPORTING GUN MAKERS NOW REFUSING
TO SELL ARMS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT IN NEW YORK (AND OTHER GUN-RESTRICTING STATES)
From The Blaze
February 15, 2013
Since New York State enacted its restrictive new gun laws,
many manufacturers have sent that state (and others) a message: If local
governments are going to severely restrict the ability of citizens to own guns,
then these companies will not be selling to law enforcement in those areas.
Among the gun manufacturers sending that message:
Olympic Arms, Inc
La Rue Tactical
EFI, LLC – Extreme Firepower
York Arms
Templar Custom
Cheaper Than Dirt

SURVEILLANCE CAMERA CAPTURES THE DRAMATIC MOMENT A SECURITY
GUARD USED AN AR-15 TO FEND OFF ARMED HOLDUP
From The Blaze
February 16, 2013
Dramatic surveillance footage out of the Detroit area shows
the heart-stopping moment when a gun-wielding couple stormed into a tax
business and started shooting — and a security guard pulled out an AR-15 and
drove them away.
The security guard suffered a non-life-threatening wound to
the leg and the suspects got away, but otherwise no one was seriously injured
in the shootout.

‘POLITICAL CORRECTNESS KILLS!’: THEBLAZE READERS RESPOND TO
POLICE CHIEF WHO SAID A GUN ‘IS NOT A DEFENSIVE WEAPON’
From The Blaze
February 16, 2013
A California police chief recently opined that a gun “is not
a defensive weapon” but rather “an offensive weapon used to intimidate and show
power.”
“One issue that always boggles my mind is that the idea that
a gun is a defensive weapon,” Emeryville Police Chief Ken James said at a news
conference. “That is a myth. A gun is not a defensive weapon. A gun is an
offensive weapon used to intimidate and show power.”
TheBlaze asked readers whether they agree with the chief’s
statement. Here’s what some of you had to say:
CaptMickeyd
A weapon is a defensive weapon when used in defense. Any
weapon is an offensive weapon when used in offense. Whether it be a sword, a
grenade, a rocket launcher, or a machine gun mounted on a plane. It is the
motive behind the use of the weapon that makes it offense or defense.
The police chief should understand this.

NEW INTERACTIVE MAP SHOWS THE NUMBER OF TIMES GUNS HAVE
SAVED AMERICANS
From The Blaze
February 15, 2013
Proponents of stricter gun control measures regularly call
attention to the number of people who have killed in gun-related crimes.
However, what these people often neglect to mention is the
number of people who have been saved by firearms. That is, gun control advocates
rarely — if ever — acknowledge the possible benefits of owning a gun.
But is there an upside to owning a gun, as defenders of the
Second Amendment claim? Of course there is. Indeed, it shouldn’t come as a
surprise when we say numerous would-be murderers, burglars, and rapists have
been thwarted by guns.
