It is reminiscent of Richard Nixon’s “enemies list.”
Apparently, if you do not parrot the Democratic Progressive Socialist Party
line, then you are told you will “regret” your reporting or that your news
organization might lose its access to the White House.
This is something you might expect from Pravda in the old
Soviet Union, but this is America where freedom of speech and freedom of the
press are part of our heritage. We know that the left-wing mainstream media is heavily biased in favor of the Obama administration, and that fact makes these types of actions surprising as well as disgraceful.
In this case, both reporters are liberal and have been supportive of Obama. If the White House is willing to do this to their “buddies,” then it is not surprising they and their
surrogates have declared war on Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, or other
conservatives.

Veteran journalist Bob
Woodward appeared on Fox News Thursday to address his claim that the Obama
White House sent him an intimidating email telling him he would “regret” his
reporting on the sequester. He told host Sean Hannity that he didn’t actually
feel “threatened” but added that it is still “inappropriate” for the White
House to interact with members of the press in such an intimidating manner.
The White House
official who sent Woodward the email in question has since been identified as
Gene Sperling, director of the National Economic Council. Woodward explained
that Sperling yelled at him for about half an hour and was “really worked up”
about his reporting. Sperling later sent the email and apologized for raising
his voice but also included the “regret” remark.

Lanny Davis, who
served under President Bill Clinton as special counsel to the White House, told
Washington, D.C.'s WMAL this morning that the Obama White House had threatened
the Washington Times over his column, warning that the Times would suffer
limited access to White House officials and might have its White House
credentials revoked. Davis, a centrist Democrat, is sometimes critical of the
Obama administration's policies.
