Arrogant Long-Time Senators Harass Texas Senator Ted Cruz

Texas Senator Ted Cruz

During the gun control debate, newly elected Republican Senator Ted Cruz from Texas discussed the importance of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the Second Amendment in particular. Then he was talked down to by Senator Dianne Feinstein while another unnamed senator – possibly Patrick Leahy of Vermont – made disparaging comments in the background. These long-serving Progressive Socialists (i.e. Democrats) are two more reasons for term limits.

In fact, during the videos, you can see the smug, I’m-better-than-you grimaces on the faces of the ancient senators like Feinstein and Leahy. It is sad that our fellow citizens are foolish enough to keep sending people like this to Congress; "representatives" who spend their time in Washington looking for ways to intrude into every aspect of our lives and slowly take away our rights under the Constitution.

In this first article, note that Senator Leahy cut off Cruz at one point, reminding him that he hasn’t been in the Senate for very long – insinuating that newer senators don’t have the clout of the musty, dusty, pompous, arrogant old fools like Leahy and Feinstein:

Republican Senator Ted Cruz must have ruffled a few feathers Thursday morning when he questioned Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s “assault weapons” ban, because during his closing remarks before the Senate Judiciary Committee, someone could be heard on a hot mic mocking his speech — on two occasions.

“My fourth and final point is that the Constitution, in my opinion, should be the touchstone of everything we do,” said Sen. Cruz. “I would point out that every one of us takes an oath to defend the constitution.”

Then there is Senator Dianne Feinstein who did not like the questions posed to her by Senator Cruz relating to the Constitution, and who talked down to him like he was not worth the time. You people in California are nuts to keep sending this arrogant broad back to Congress:

Senators Ted Cruz and Dianne Feinstein during a Senate Judiciary Hearing on Thursday got into heated exchange while discussing the California congresswoman’s proposed ban on so-called “assault” weapons.

“The question that I would pose to the senior senator from California is,” Cruz said, referring to Feinstein, “Would she deem it consistent with the Bill of Rights for Congress to engage in the same endeavor that we are contemplating doing with the Second Amendment in the context of the First or Fourth Amendment, namely, would she consider it constitutional for Congress to specify that the First Amendment shall apply only to the following books and shall not apply to the books that Congress has deemed outside the protection of the Bill of Rights?”

Here’s a flash for you loud mouth, know-it-all, power hungry politicians: Ted Cruz was right. He, Rand Paul, and others were sent to Congress to fix a system that you old-timers have broken. Since Congressional representatives like Feinstein and Leahy seem to have forgotten their oath to defend the Constitution, it’s a good thing that courageous men like Cruz and Paul are there to remind them.

In fact, worn-out politicians like Feinstein and Leahy need to be put out to pasture and replaced with men and women of honor, integrity and courage like Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

And our message for Senator Cruz? Keep up the good work.....
